Abstract

The Specialised tool is designed to facilitate cutting of conduits so that electrical modifications or connections can be made and placed in conduit extensions. The tool is intended to be able to work on a wide range of conduit diameters and on conduits that may be at a high level making access difficult. It is also intended that the connection achieved should not result in galvanic action due to copper - aluminium junctions as a result of the connection method. The tool consists of an aluminium bolt having an axial groove to take aluminum cable and threads on the exterior carrying a cutting screw to cut the cable.
