Abstract

1,158,327. Tapping. P. & B. ENG. CO. Ltd. 19 Dec., 1966 [29 Dec., 1965], No. 55030/65. Heading B3N. [Also in Division H2] A bus-bar 13 is provided with a tapped hole by placing over it a channel-shaped member 1 with which engages a threaded bolt 2, screwing the bolt into the channel member so that the sharp point 9 dents the surface of the bus-bar, removing the channel member and bolt and drilling a hole through the bus-bar at the place marked, the hole being of smaller diameter than the threaded portion 5 of the bolt 2, then replacing the channel member and screwing the bolt into the channel member so that the portion 5 of the bolt taps the hole in the bus-bar.
