1515257 Supply fittings BARKING BRASSWARE CO Ltd 10 March 1977 10139/77 Heading A4N [Also in Division F2] A water fitting, such as a tap 1, has a threaded plastics shank 4 provided with a nut 5 and a washer 6 which is slidable on to the shank without removing the nut. Thus the shank may be inserted through a fitting hole with the nut in place, and the washer fitted subsequently. The washer may be C-shaped, or may be a split O-shape, and is sufficiently resilient and flexible to be fitted around the shank.
