Abstract

All the parts of the tray are moulded in one flat piece, and the box can be dismantled to be returned flat. The base and sides are connected by deformable, thin hinge pieces, and are perforated to reduce the weight. The ends of adjacent sides have step shaped profiles which engage in each other when the box is assembled. Extension flaps on the ends of the longer sides are folded round the shorter sides and engaged elastically in locations provided. Reinforcing corner pieces can be fitted in grooves on the sides. Protrusions and locations on the sides are used when stacking boxes on top of each other.
