Abstract

Double flaps (7, 8) are normally held together by a spring (12). A pivot (11) on one flap (7) carries a cam lever (10) having two curved slots. One (20) closed, operates around a pin (16) on the other flap (8), the other (28) is open ended to engage a peg (29) on the unit (1). The demister outlet (6) being closed and the foot outlet (4) open, pulling the operating cable (17) closes the foot and opens the demister outlets. Continued pulling engages the open ended slot on the peg, the cam lever pivoting and the closed slot pushing the demister flap up to regulate the air flow. Pushing the cable reverses the sequence.
