Abstract

The fresh air regulators for a car are operated by a single control which progressively opens the flap to admit more air. When the flap is fully open, further operation of the control sets the blower speed in increasing amounts, so that a fine control is obtained over a wide range of settings. When several flaps are fitted, they are operated in sequence, so that when one is fully open the other one is gradually opened. The dashboard controls are simplified by a single airflow control and a single temperature control.
