Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient wind-speed follow-up characteristics even in a low- wind-speed range, by exercising wind-speed control by opening and closing a main and a subordinate damper while adjusting the quantity of blast of a blower to a constant value in the low-wind-speed range. CONSTITUTION:A main damper 5 is provided to the main passage 17 of a wind tunnel, and a bypass damper 15 is arranged at a bypass duct at an upper side. A chassis dynamo 10 driven by the rear wheels of a car 9 generates a control signal S, which is inputted to a braking mechanism 18 consisting of a low-speed control mechanism and a high-speed control mechanism. In this constitution, when the car speed is 0-35km/h, the quantity of blast of a blower 2 is made constant and while the main damper 5 is opened gradually, the bypass damper 15 is closed gradually; and the damper 5 is fully opened at 35km/h, and the damper 15 is fully closed. Thus, wind-speed follow-up characteristics are improved greatly as compared with conventional ones, and high reliability is obtained.
