Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to operate the incinerator automatically, by controlling the speed of combustion stoker through measurement of the gradient of combustion energy on the combustion stoker. CONSTITUTION:Light-intensity detecting means Da, Db produce respectively output signals corresponding to the combustion gradient at two different points on a combustion stoker 4. A combustion gradient detecting means 9 calculates the combustion gradient through comparison of the above two output signals and a means 11 for controlling the speed of combustion stoker determines the reciprocating time of the movement of combustion stoker 4 from a speed calculating signal produced by mean 10. At the same time, an air-flow calculating means 13 determines the amount of air to be supplied to stoker 4. Further, a damper driving means 14 controles the opening of a damper for an air duct 6 from the output signal of means 13 so as to control the air flow rate. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to operate the incinerator automatically.
