Abstract

A single lever in a motor vehicle is used to operate other controls for air flow and temp. adjustment within a vehicle. These controls may be operated simultaneously or separately by cables from the lever mechanism. A lever (3) with control knob (4) on a vehicle dashboard pivots (5) so that a control spindle (6) operates in conjunction with cam slots (7,8) on two crank arms (9,10). These cams move about axes (11,12) and have t oothed segments (13,14) which engage. As the cam slots come together the control spindle can be transferred from control of one cable (18) to control of a second cable (19) via a second control spindle (15) operating in a cam slot (16) of a supplementary crank (17).
