Abstract

The headlamps are mounted on spring loaded mountings supported by Bowden cables (11). The Bowden cables are taken to a common yoke on a dashboard mounted control (10). When the control knob is turned the cables are pulled in or pushed out to adjust the headlamp inclination. The system enables the linkage to be taken through the engine compartment without hindrance, while effective seals can be fitted around the cables when they pass into the engine compartment. The system is simple and does not suffer from any hysteresis effects.
