Abstract

The valved sacks are folded to produce bellows sections running horizontally and contg. the valves, fitting over the filling spout, and are delivered with the large sides vertical in a plane through which the spout passes, while the small side with the opening is uppermost, the opening being in line with but below the spout. A horizontal force is then exerted on the sack on the centre of the side furthest from the bellows, together with two parallel forces opposed to the first. One of these acts near the lower sack edge and the other on teh upper one, the effect being to bend the sack and lift the upper bellows section clear of the sack body.
