Abstract

The pump is driven from the landwheels so that the volume delivered is proportional to distance travelled. The pump (1) is driven by a hydraulic motor (13) supplied from a source of fluid under pressure. The volume of fluid admitted to the motor is in proportion to the rotation of a friction roller (26) bearing against one of the landwheels (3) or a disc mounted on it. The friction roller can be secured to a shaft (25) driving a rotary distributor (24) metering the fluid supply to the motor. The distance between the landwheel centre and the point of contact with the friction roller can be adjustable, the shaft running in a movable mounting (20) which can be locked in position.
