Abstract

the plastic stopper is particularly for plastic bottles, and comprises a top disc and two skirts, the inner skirt being pushed inside the neck of the bottle. The outer skirt has an inward facing protrusion which fits under a rim round the neck of the bottle. There is a reinforcing ring round the cap at the level of the protrusion. Radial webs support this ring. Access to the ring used to prise off the stopper is prevented by a tear-off safety ring weakly connected to the reinforcing ring.
