Abstract

1281909 Caps for bottles V J ESPOSITO 9 Oct 1969 [9 Oct 1968] 49634/69 Heading B8T A substantially tubular collar 10 is symmetrical about a central vertical axis. At its lower end 12 it has inwardly projecting flanges 13a, 13b defining an annular groove which can be snapped over a rib R on a bottle B. When the rib R is engaged in the groove the wall portion 11 of the collar 10 prevents access to the cap C. To open the cap, the collar is pushed downward off the rib on to the shoulder of the bottle, Fig. 4 (not shown), allowing the cap to be unscrewed. An annular flange 11a may be provided as shown to strengthen the collar or the flange may extend from a part midway along the collar, Fig. 5 (not shown). Radial slots (14), Fig. 2 (not shown), may be provided in the lower end 12 of the collar.
