Abstract

999,159. Capsule closures. SAMUEL TAYLOR PTY Ltd. July 3, 1962 [July 5, 1961], No. 25426/62. Heading B8T. A cap 10 of acetal resin having a skirt 14 is fitted over the neck of an aerosol bottle 16 which is formed with an annular recess 23 below an annular bead 22, and the free edge of the skirt 14 is crimped at normal atmospheric temperature into the recess 23 by means of a plurality of tongues 17 which are forced inwards by moving an annular element 18 towards the free ends of the tongues 17. An inner flange 13 of the cap 10 retains the shell 21 of a valve mechanism in position. Specification 992,040 is referred to.
