Abstract

A valve body (1) is joined by a removable junction piece (5) to another part of the system by means of a screwed ring (15). The tubular end (3), of the valve body has an external screw thread to take the screwed ring (11) of the compression fitting (10) and is counter bored (7) to take the removable junction piece. A sealing ring (9) is inserted in the joint, although additional sealing methods are proposed. The junction piece has a flanged end (6) to allow fixing to the remainder of the system by ring (15) which is threaded on to the junction piece before the latter is inserted in the body. Joint (10) is a compression fitting simplifying attachment andremoval.
