Abstract

The coil is partic. for use as a magneto armature, having an iron core and an insulated body incorporating a primary and a secondary winding, the beginning of the external multilayer secondary being connected in series with the end of the primary, while its other end supplies the spark current. The capacity between the initial and final layers of the secondary is at least as great as that between the intermediate layers. An insulated overlapping metal sheet can be inserted at the beginning and end of the secondary, extending over at least a part of the width of the layer of the secondary, typically in the form of a self-supporting metal sheet, wound with a sheet of insulating material.
