Abstract
Steel comprises 17.0-19.0% Cr, 7.0-10.0% Ni, 11.0-13.0% Mn, 0.01-0.07% N, the N varying inversely with the Ni content, up to 0.06% C, up to 1.0% Si, up to 2.0% Mo, up to 1.5% Cu, up to 0.04% P, up to 0.04% S, and the bal. Fe. The alloy has a cold work hardening factor of 100. Alloys are esp. useful in applications involving cold heading.
