Abstract

The frame is for movable partitions which can be erected and dismantled quickly and by unskilled personnel. Elements are therefore few and simple. The frame is made of four H-sections (1), the arms (2, 3) being joined together by crosspiece (4), and having on the inside faces, wedge-shaped spurs (5) which provide a friction grip to panels when forced between the arms. These four elements can be joined by any appropriate means, e.g., welding or bolting, onto a frame to hold in position the partition panel (6). The framing can be easily adapted to hold double glazing units or a plinth can be added to the upper and lower horizontal surfaces.
