1,274,234. Support columns for partitioning panels; structural parts for buildings. VANESTA INTERNATIONAL COMPONENTS Ltd. 28 Nov., 1969 [20 Dec., 1968], No. 60769/68. Headings E1R and E1W. A column for supporting partition panels consists of two parts 1, 2 which are respectively shaped as shown and releasably interconnected to-gether by bolts 17 passing through apertures in the base 3 of one part to engage serrations 8a formed within the other part. The column is of rectangular cross-sectional outline and each face thereof is provided with a longitudinal channel, the column being divided in a plane passing through a pair of opposed channels. The column may have wall partition panels. door framing or window members secured thereto in conjunction with spacing strips, cushioning strips and anchor plates as appropriate for details of which Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown) and the Specification should be referred to.
