Abstract
Ironing cover, consists of a layer of material with a metallised surface coating and >=2 layers forming a cushion or mattress, one of these layers being a fibre web and the other a synthetic foam material. The underlay forming the cushion is composed of >=2 layers, viz a fibre web and a layer of synthetic foam material bonded together on their facing surfaces and a layer formed by an ironing cloth of dimensions corresp. to those of the underlay, to which it is detachably fixed. Partic. the fibre side of the underlay is covered by a further layer of high quality fibres, fixed by needling, flocking or laminating.
