Abstract

Laminated sheets esp. for forming decorative veneers on wooden panels and profiles are produced by (a) coating the face of a paper-sheet forming the back of the finished laminated with a mixt. of (I) a film-forming high mol.wt. binder, and (II) a low mol.wt. plasticiser, or (III) an internally plasticised binder, (b) coating the free face of the paper with a polymerisable synthetic resin, or laminating this face with one or more paper sheets impregnated with polymerisable synthetic resin, and opt. sepn. sheets, and (c) curing completely by providing energy. Gives flexible sheets with a good resistance to moisture and heat. Easily cut into shape, and easily bonded with a wide range of adhesives.
