Abstract
Heat resisting casting alloy suitable for centrifugal spinning heads in the production of glass fibres, compriss Ni and 32-38% Cr, 2-10% Fe, 0.9-1.1% Ta or Nb, 0.15-0.5% Mn, 0.15-0.3% C, up to 0.014% S, and contains Si in amounts in which the max. is given by the lower limit of stability of the carbides, and the min. is given by castability. The alloy also contains Mo and W in amounts which give a structure whichis stable at high temp.
