An alloy suitable for use in contact with flowing molten glass, e.g. as a centrifugal spinner for the manufacture of glass fibre, consists, by weight, of C 0À3 - 1% Cr 25 - 35% W 3-8% Ta 2-8% Zr 0-0À5% B 0-0À05% Ni and impurities - balance. The impurities Fe, Si and Mn should not exceed 2%, 0À5% and 0À5% respectively
