Abstract

The bobbin, which is rotated by engagement with a drive roller having pref. a helical thread guide channel, is mounted rotatably on a shaft extending from the lower of two rollers arranged between two guide rails and held in place by an elastic band which surrounds them in an S shape. The band is connected at its end to respective rails, one end being pref. connected via a spring mechanism to take up slack, and the sum of the bobbin diameters is greater than the rail spacing. As the bobbin diameter increases the shaft moves the rollers along the rails. Vibrations of the bobbin are reduced.
