Abstract

Yarn is supplied to a tubular bobbin, which is in contact with drive roller, via an auxiliary guide mounted on a slide, the yarn being seized by one of a number of substantially radially channels in an end disc pressed against an end of the bobbin by a conical support or member. The yarn is guided onto the bobbin to wind a reserve tail on one end, after which it is manually transferred to the main reciprocating thread guide to wind the yarn package.
