Abstract
1443648 Belt drives, tensioning TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 17 May 1974 [25 May 1973] 22253/74 Heading DID Roving tension variation is compensated by a belt drive arrangement between a flyer and a bobbin wherein the belt 3 is moved along conical drive rollers 1, 2 by a shifter 4, 5 which is connected through a linkage 8, 9 to a member 10 for moving the belt, the linkage 8, 9 also being under the influence of a cam surface 21 for varying the movement of the belt. As shown, the belt 3 is progressively moved to the right by ratchet and pawl 15, 16 to vary the drive between a spindle and flyer during winding. The movement of the belt 3 is influenced by the adjustable cam surface 21 to keep the tension in roving being wound constant. The cam surface 21 may be provided by interconnected links. The cam roller 18 may run in a guide track.
