Abstract

Device for folding and heat sealing a cap onto a plastic bottle, comprising an annular skirt and a heating block covered with glass cloth. Esp. for applying aluminium/polyethylene laminate caps to disposable milk bottles. The skirt accepts and modifies blank, rimmed caps dispensed from a stack, and the glass cloth cover prevents fusion of the bottle to the heat sealing tool if the cap is not also loaded.
