Abstract

A method of and apparatus for sealing containers for food products, comprising the steps of and means, respectively, simultaneously effecting the sealing of the peripheral zone of the cover on a corresponding flange of the neck of the container and effectively cooling the remainder of the surface of the closure cover, to obtain a pore-free hermetically tight closure.
