Keksinnön kohteena on sähköisesti kuumennettava, kestomuovia oleva hitsattava muhvi muoviputkien yhdistämiseksi siihen sovitetun kuumennuslankakäämin avulla, jonka päät on johdettu ulos virtalähteeseen liittämistä varten, jolloin muhvissa on joustavat kaistaleet muhvin sisään työnnettyjen putkien kiinnittämiseksi ennen hitsaamista.
Muoviputkien ja niihin yhdistettävien tiettyjen muhvien väliin muodostuu verraten suuria, valmistuksesta johtuvia toleranssi-eroja. Jos toleranssit pidetään liian ahtaina, voi tapahtua, että eri putket ovat sovitettavissa ainoastaan vaikeasti, esimerkiksi lyömällä muhviin, mikä on vahingollista. Laajoilla toleransseilla putket eivät keskity muhviin ja voivat helposti kallistua, mikä johtaa huonoihin hitsiliitoksiin. Myöskin putkijärjestelmää asennettaessa olisi edullista, jos putket sovitettaisiin ennen hitsausta tiiviisti muhveihin ja olisivat viimeksi mainittujen pidättämihä tarkalleen sama-akselisia.
2 65482 Tämän keksinnön tehtävänä on nyt aikaansaada alussa mainittua laatua oleva hitsattava muhvi, jolla vältetään tunnettujen muhvien epäkohdat ja joka täyttää asetetut vaatimukset.
Keksinnön mukaan tämä saavutetaan siten, että joustavat kaistaleet on muodostettu muhviseinämään tehtyjen pitkittäisuurteiden avulla ja ne muodostavat yhtenäisen yksikön muhvikappaleen kanssa.
Keksintö kohdistuu myöskin menetelmään hitsattavan muhvin valmistamiseksi, joka menetelmä on tunnettu siitä, että pitkit-täisuurteet viilletään muhvin sisäseinämään siten, että niistä syrjäytetty aine muodostaa sisäänpäin ulkonevat kaistaleet.
Seuraajassa selitetään lähemmin hitsatun muhvin erästä sovellutusesimerkkiä viitaten piirustukseen, jossa:
Kuvio 1 esittää hitsatun muhvin pituusleikkausta.
Kuvio 2 esittää suuremmassa koossa hitsatun muhvin seinämän säteettäistä leikkausta.
Kuviossa 1 esitetyssä, sähköisesti kuumennettavassa hitsatussa muhvissa on kestomuovia, esimerkiksi polyeteeniä, oleva lieriömäinen runko 1. Rungon sisäseinämä on varustettu ruuviviivan muotoisella urituksella 3, johon on sovitettu kuumennuslangan käämi 4. Kuumennuslangan päät on johdettu kahden säteettäisen porauksen 5 kautta ulospäin ja yhdistetty kahden runkoon kiinnitetyn kosketinkappaleen 6 kanssa, jotka puolestaan on suojattu kahdella hoikilla 7.
Muhvin valmistus tapahtuu verraten ahtailla toleransseilla.
Sitä vastoin useimmiten suulakepuristamalla valmistetuissa muoviputkissa esiintyy verraten suuria läpimittaeroja, mikä vaikeuttaa muhvin työntämistä putkien päiden päälle siinä tapauksessa, että sovite on liian tiukka tai liitos liian väljä ennen hitsausta. Tämän johdosta eri putkien asennus putkijärjestelmään vaikeutuu. Putket eivät ole keskitetyt 65482 muhveihin ja hitsaus on epätasainen. Tämän estämiseksi muhvin rungon 1 sisäseinämään 2 pistetään pitkittäisuurteita 8 siten, että uurteista syrjäytetty aine ulkonee sisäänpäin ja muodostaa pitkittäiskaistaleita 9. Luonnollisesti uurteen 8 syvyys valitaan siten, että uriin 3 sovitettu vastuslanka 4 ei vahingoitu.
Uurteet vedetään tarkoituksenmukaisesti siten, että kaistaleet 9 sijaitsevat tasaisin välein sisäseinämässä.
Näiden kaistaleiden ansiosta muhviin molemmilta puolilta vasteren-kaaseen 10 saakka työnnetyt putket 11 tulevat pidätetyiksi tiukalla sovituksella ja tarkalleen keskitetyiksi. Putkien välimatka muhvin sisäseinämästä on tasainen, mikä takaa hyvän hitsiliitoksen. Kokeet ovat osoittaneet, että kaistaleet ovat riittävän elastisia aikaansaamaan myöskin muhvin moninkertaisen päälle työntämisen jälkeen liitoksen lujan pitävyyden.
Kiinteän liitoksen valmistamiseksi muhvia kuumennetaan tunnettuun tapaan kuumennuslangan välityksellä, mikä aikaansaa muhvin kutistumisen ja sisäseinämän yhteenhitsautumisen putkien päiden kanssa.
Oikein tapahtuneen hitsauksen tarkastamiseksi on osoittautunut tarkoituksenmukaiseksi lämpöindikaattorin sovittaminen muhvin päälle. Tämä sinänsä tunnettu indikaattori, joka on esimerkiksi paperia tai muovia, liimataan tarkoituksenmukaisesti hyvin näkyvästi putkien viereen muhvin päälle. Indikaattorin värin muuttumisen mukaan muhvin hitsauksen jälkeen voidaan todeta, onko saavutettu oikea hitsauslämpötila.
Koska putkijärjestelmiä asennettaessa eri putkikappaleet ja muhvit liitetään useimmiten ensin irrallisesti yhteen ja sen jälkeen hitsataan ryhmittäin yhteen, voidaan indikaattorin mukaan heti todeta, mitkä liitokset on jo hitsattu ja mitä on vielä hitsattava. Tällä tavalla voidaan välttää haitalliset kaksoishitsaukset ja myöskin heti on selvää, onko jokin hitsaus-kohta unohdettu vai ei. Väri-indikaattorissa voi olla esimerkiksi valkoinen täplä, joka lämpötilan kohotessa tulee tummemmaksi ja mustaksi saavutettaessa loppulämpötila noin 240 - 250°C.

Sähköisesti kuumennettava, kestomuovia oleva hitsattava muhvi (1) muoviputkien (11) yhdistämiseksi siihen sovitetun kuumennuslankakäämin (A) avulla, jonka päät on johdettu ulos virtalähteeseen liittämistä varten, jolloin muhvissa on joustavat kaistaleet (9) muhvin sisään työnnettyjen putkien (11) kiinnittämiseksi ennen hitsaamista, tunnettu siitä, että joustavat kaistaleet (9) on muodostettu muhviseinämään (2) tehtyjen pitkittäisuurteiden (Θ) avulla ja ne muodostavat yhtenäisen kappaleen muhvikappaleen kanssa.
2. Menetelmä patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukaisen hitsattavan muhvin valmistamiseksi, tunnettu siitä, että pitkittäisuurteet (8) viilletään muhvin sisäseinämään (2) siten, että niistä syrjäytetty aine muodostaa sisäänpäin ulkonevat kaistaleet (9) .
