Claims (9)

1. Kompositioner avsedda för ytbehandling av pap-per och kartong, kännetecknade av att de innehäller 5 i en vattenlösning en blandning, som bestär av glyoxal (G) , urea (U) och ett alkaliskt metallsalt av en syrehal-tig borsyra och att nämnda kompositioners pH har reglerats att vara mindre än 6 med hjälp av alkali- och/eller jord-alkalimetallhydroxid.
2. Kompositioner enligt patentkrav 1, känne tecknade av att det alkaliska metallsaltet av en syre-haltig borsyra är dinatriumtetraborat, som är kristallise-rad med 10 vattenmolekyler, i fortsättningen betecknad med A. j 15
