CONSISTE EN EL TRATAMIENTO, EN UN MEDIO ACUOSO ADECUADO, DE UN COMPUESTO DE CEFALOSPORINA C, DE FORMULA (II), EN LA QUE R TIENE LOS MISMOS SIGNIFICADOS QUE EN LA FORMULA (I), O UNA SAL DEL MISMO, CON UN MICROORGANISMO PRODUCTOR DE ENZIMAS, CORRESPONDIENTE AL GENERO PSEUDOMONAS, CON LO QUE TIENE LUGAR LA HIDROLISIS DE DICHO COMPUESTO Y SE FORMA EL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA (I), Y ACIDO D-A-AMINOADIPICO.
