PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE DERIVADOS DE PIRROLO 3,2,1-HIINDOL, EN FORMA DE RACEMATOS O DE ISOMEROS OPTICAMENTE ACTIVOS, DE FORMULA (I), EN LA QUE R REPRESENTA HIDROGENO O ALQUILO C1-4; R1 Y R2 PUEDEN SER HIDROGENO, HALOGENO O ALQUILO C1-4. CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE HIDROGENACION DE UN ESTER DE FORMULA (II), EN LA QUE R ES ALQUILO Y R1 Y R2 TIENEN EL MISMO SIGNIFICADO QUE EN LA FORMULA (I), POR TRATAMIENTO CON ACIDO CLORHIDRICO Y ESTAÑO, A LA TEMPERATURA AMBIENTE; SEGUIDA, O BIEN DE LA REACCION DEL COMPUESTO FORMADO CON ETILENDIAMINA, EN PRESENCIA DE TRIMETILALUMINIO, O BIEN SE ALQUILA DICHO COMPUESTO POR TRATAMIENTO CON UN HALOGENURO DE ALQUILO Y A CONTINUACION SE TRATA CON ETILENDIAMINA EN PRESENCIA DE TRIMETILALUMINIO. ESTOS COMPUESTOS TIENEN APLICACIONES FARMACOLOGICAS PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE LA HIPOTENSION, DEL ILEON PARALITICO POSTOPERATORIO, DEL ASMA Y DE LA OBESIDAD.
