PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE 1,2-DICLOROETANO. CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR ETILENO CON CLORO EN UN DISOLVENTE, EN PRESENCIA DE UNA MEZCLA DE CATALIZADORES A BASE DE CLORURO DE HIERRO-III ANHIDRO ASI COMO EN PRESENCIA DE UN INHIBIDOR PARA IMPEDIR LA FORMACION DE PRODUCTOS SECUNDARIOS. LA REACCION SE REALIZA A UNA TEMPERATURA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 20 Y 200 GRADOS Y A UNA PRESION NORMAL O A SOBREPRESION. EL DICLOROSTANO BRUTO SE RETIRA DEL RECIPIENTE DE REACCION Y SE PROCEDE A ELIMINACION DEL CATALIZADOR Y DEL CLORURO DE HIDROGENO, PARA LO CUAL SE LE TRATA CON AGUA O CON SOLUCIONES ACUOSAS DE ALCALIS Y POSTERIORMENTE SE LE SOMETE A UN PROCESO DE DESTILACION.
