COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: 1 ) IDENTIFICAR LA PORCION DEL GENOMA DE UN ORGANISMO QUE CODIFICA EL PEPTIDO QUE ES POTENCIALMENTE UN DETERMINANTE ANTIGENICO ESPECIFICO. 2 ) DETERMINAR LA SECUENCIA DE NUCLEOTIDOS DEL GEN. 3 ) DETERMINAR LA SECUENCIA DE NUCLEOTIDOS DEL GEN. 4 ) RESOLVER LA SECUENCIA DE AMINOACIDOS DEL PEPTIDO A PARTIR DE LA SECUENCIA DE NUCLEOTIDOS DEL GEN. 5 ) SINTETIZAR QUIMICAMENTE UN PEPTIDO SELECCIONADO CON LA SECUENCIA DE NUCLEOTIDOS DEL GEN DE LA ETAPA ANTERIOR. 6 ) FORMAR UN ANTIGENO CON DICHO PEPTIDO. 7 ) INTRODUCIR EL ANTIGENO RESULTANTE EN UN HUESPED Y DETERMINAR INMUNOLOGICAMENTE QUE EL ANTIGENO PRODUCIDO INDUCE LA PRODUCCION DE ANTICUERPOS. 8 ) SINTETIZAR QUIMICAMENTE CANTIDADES COMERCIALES DE DICHO PEPTIDO PARA SU DIAGNOSIS Y TERAPIA.
