PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE UN EXTRACTO CON ALTO CONTENIDO EN ESCLAREOL Y/O ESCLAREOL CRISTALINO A PARTIR DE PLANTAS DE SALVIA CON EXCESO DE HUMEDAD Y LIBERADAS DE ACEITES ESENCIALES. SE REALIZA LA EXTRACCION DE LA DROGA DE SALVIA CON UNA MEZCLA DE ALCOHOL/AGUA QUE CONTIENE DE 20 A 70% EN VOLUMEN DE UN ALCOHOL ALIFATICO QUE TIENE DE 1 A 3 ATOMOS DE CARBONO, EN UNA PROPORCION DE MEZCLA DE 10 A 20 VECES LA CANTIDAD DE DROGA QUE SE VA A EXTRACTAR Y A UNA TEMPERATURA DE 20 A 87<025>C. SE LIBERA EL EXTRACTO DE ALCOHOL O SE REDUCE SU CONTENIDO ENTRE 10 Y 20%. SE REALIZA LA EXTACCION DEL RESIDUO CON UN HIDROCARBURO QUE TIENE DE 5 A 8 ATOMOS DE CARBONO O CON UN HIDROCARBURO ALIFATICO CLORADO. SE CONCENTRA LA CAPA ORGANICA RESULTANTE Y SE OBTIENE UN JARABE CONTENIENDO DE 70 A 80% DE ESCLAREOL, EL CUAL SE PUEDE RECRISTALIZAR PARA OBTENER ESCLAREOL CRISTALINO.
