UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA RECUPERAR BETAINA DE MELAZAS. COMPRENDE: 1. DILUIR LAS MELAZAS HASTA CONSEGUIR MEZCLAS DE CONTENIDO EN SOLIDOS COMPRENDIDO ENTRE 20 Y 50 POR 100. 2. PROPORCIONAR UNA COLUMNA CROMATOGRAFICA DE UNA SAL DE UNA RESINA CAMBIADORA DE CATION DE POLIESTIRENSULFONATO. 3. SUMERGIR DICHA COLUMNA DE RESINA EN AGUA. 4. INTRODUCIR LAS MELAZAS DILUIDAS EN SUMINISTRO UNIFORME A LA SUPERFICIE DE LA RESINA EN EL EXTREMO SUPERIOR DE LA COLUMNA. 5. DILUIR LAS MELAZAS DE LA COLUMNA CON AGUA. 6. RECUPERAR, A PARTIR DEL LADO DE AGUAS ABAJO DEL LECHO DE RESINA, UNA FRACCION QUE ESTA CONSTITUIDA PRINCIPALMENTE POR BETAINA, LA CUAL SE CONCENTRA POR EVAPORACION. LA SOLUCION CONCENTRADA SE SOMETE A CRISTALIZACION A 75-95 GRADOS CENTIGRADOS CON APLICACION DE VACIO, Y LOS CRISTALES OBTENIDOS SE SEPARAN DEJANDO UN JARABE RESIDUAL.
