Abstract
METODO DE PURIFICACION DE SOLUCIONES ACUOSAS RESIDUALES QUE CONTIENEN METALES PESADOS, ENTRE LOS QUE AL MENOS UNO DE LOS ELEMENTOS ARSENICO, ANTIMONIO Y ESTAÑO ESTA PRESENTE EN CANTIDADES CONSIDERABLES. CONSISTENTE EN PRECIPITAR LOS METALES MEDIANTE SULFURO DE SODIO, TENIENDO LUGAR LA ADICION DEL SULFURO AL MENOS EN DOS ETAPAS, CON LO QUE EL PH EN LA PRIMERA SE ADAPTA AL INTERVALO EN EL CUAL PRECIPITAN LOS IONES METALICOS QUE REACCIONAN CON LOS IONES SULFURO EN SOLUCION ACIDA, DESPUES DE LO CUAL, Y ANTES DE LA SEGUNDA ADICION DE SULFURO, SE ELEVA EL PH POR ADICION DE UNA BASE ADECUADA HASTA UN VALOR PARA EL CUAL LOS IONES METALICOS QUE REACCIONAN CON EL SULFURO DE SODIO EN SOLUCION DEBILMENTE ACIDA O NEUTRA PUEDEN PRECIPITARSE. DESPUES DE LO CUAL LOS PRECIPITADOS RESULTANTES, QUE COMPRENDEN SUSTANCIALMENTE TODO EL CONTENIDO EN METALES PESADOS, SE SEPARAN DEL AGUA RESIDUAL. LA PRIMERA CARGA DE IONES SULFURO SE HACE A UN PH INFERIOR A 3,4, MIENTRAS QUE EN LA SEGUNDA CARGA EL PH ES AL MENOS SUPERIOR A 4, PERO PREFERIBLEMENTE INFERIOR A 4,3.
