PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PREPARACION DE 1-(4-CLOROBENCIDRIL)-4-2,3-DIHIDROXIPROPIL)-PIPERACINA. CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR 1-(4-CLOROBENCIDRIL)-PIPERACINA CON 2,3-EPOXI-1-PROPANOL. OPCIONALMENTE EL PRODUCTO OBTENIDO SE SALIFICA. SE OBTIENE EL COMPUESTO DE FORMULA GENERAL (I) Y SUS SALES DE ADICION ORGANICOS E INORGANICOS FARMACEUTICAMENTE ACEPTABLES, YA SEAN MONO O DISALES CON CARACTER NEUTRO, BASICO O ACIDO, CONSTITUYENDO LA MATERIA ACTIVA EN LA OBTENCION DE COMPOSICIONES ANTITUSIVS, ANTIHISTAMINICAS SEDANTES, ANALGESICAS Y ANTIINFLAMATORIAS.
