Abstract

PROCEDIMIENTO DE ADICION DE UN METAL REACTIVO A UN BAÑO DE METAL FUNDIDO. SE ESTABLECE SOBRE EL BAÑO DE METAL FUNDIDO UNA ATMOSFERA GASEOSA CONSTITUIDA ESENCIALMENTE POR UN GAS NO REACTIVO QUE CONTIENE HEXAFLUORURO DE AZUFRE EN CANTIDADES ADECUADAS. A CONTINUACION SE ESTABILIZA EL BAÑO DE METAL FUNDIDO A UNA TEMPERATURA ADECUADA PARA QUE EL METAL REACTIVO SELECCIONADO TENGA UNA PRESION DE VAPOR MAYOR QUE LA PRESION AMBIENTE TOTAL DE LA ATMOSFERA GASEOSA QUE SE TIENE POR ENCIMA DE DICHO BAÑO, DESPUES DE LO CUAL SE DEPOSITA EL METAL REACTIVO SOBRE LA SUPERFICIE DEL BAÑO PARA SU DISOLUCION EN EL. EL METAL REACTIVO PUEDE SER UNO DE LOS SIGUIENTES: MAGNESIO, CALCIO, ESTRONCIO Y BARIO; EL GAS NO REACTIVO PUEDE SER NITROGENO, ARGON, DIOXIDO DE CARBONO O HELIO; Y EL BAÑO FUNDIDO ESTA CONSTITUIDO ESENCIALMENTE POR FERROSILICIO.
