Abstract

Un dispositivo transductor inductivo de película delgada perfeccionado, para grabar y leer transiciones magnéticas en una pista seleccionable de una pluralidad de pistas en un medio de registro magnético, siendo dicho transductor del tipo que comprende dos capas de un material magnético formantes de una estructura de culata que es activada por una bobina de conductor, caracterizado dicho transductor por el hecho de que dicha estructura de culata, junto a uno (primero) de sus extremos, comprende una región de extremo o apéndice polar que incluye una porción que es de una anchura prefijadas, substancialmente constante, y de un espesor preseleccionado substancialmente constante, no excediendo dicha anchura prefijada de la anchura de una pista del medio de registro, y extendiendose dicha región de extremo o apéndice polar en una distancia relativamente corta, normal al medio magnético, para así llevar al máximo la resolución de transiciones durante la grabación; y por el de que dicha estructurade culata comprende una región posterior que se une a dicha región de extremo o apéndice polar y aumenta de anchura a partir de dicha anchura prefijada, y tiene un entrehierro posterior substancialmente centrado junto a su extremidad más ancha, siendo el espesor de las capas de material magnético, en dicha región posterior, mayor que el espesor de las capas en dicha porción de dicha región de extremo o apéndice polar, para así contrarrestar u oponerse a la saturación de la estructura de culata con la corriente aplicada, y reforzar el rendimiento del transductor, mediante el aumento del área de la sección recta de la estructura de culata.
