Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of an S/N without dividing written information by reading and writing the information from and to a recording medium with each coil of the titled magnetic head device consisting of two bulk-type heads, and providing a diving circuit to position a magnetic head moving on the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:R/W heads 1a and 1b, R/W coils 2a and 2b, and R/W gaps 3a and 3b have the same specifications respectively, the electromagnetic conversion characteristics of these heads are identical, respective R/W heads 1a and 1b are stuck through an insulation layer so that respective R/W gaps 3a and 3b may continue in a straight line, and all these parts are integrally constituted, thereby forming a single R/W head 1. When a writing current is applied into the head coil, and a recording magnetic field is generated at the tip of the head core, since a leakage magnetic field is generated from both sides of the head core, a writing bleeding phenomenon occurs, the writing is executed with a width broader than that of the head core. Consequently, depending on the conditions of the interval of the head core, approximately the same writing can be executed as if written by a single head.
