Abstract

Procedimiento para la formación de un revestimiento de óxido de estaño sobre una cara de un substrato de vidrio, o sobre un rebubrimiento previamente formado sobre ella, por contacto de esta cara mientras se encuentra a temperatura elevada, con un medio gaseoso que contiene tetracloruro de estaño que sufre reacción y/o descomposición química para formar este revestimiento de óxido de estaño, caracterizado por el hecho de que el medio gaseoso contiene tetracloruro de estaño en una concentración correspondiente a una presión parcial de al menos 2,5 x 10-3 at, y contiene vapor de agua en una concentración correspondiente a una presión parcial de al menos 10 x 10-3 at, y es forzado a contactar la citada cara mientras la temperatura del medio gaseoso es de al menos 300ºC y la temperatura del vidrio donde ocurre este contacto es superior a 550ºC.
