Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A solution of a Ziegler catalyst-type coordinated anionic polymerization catalyst (e.g., titanium tetrabutoxidetriethylaluminum system) containing an electron-accepting compound (e.g., tetracyano-p-quinodimethane) or an electron-donating compound (e.g., tetrathiafulvalene) is applied to the surface of the wall of a polymerization vessel or to a solid not reactive with the catalyst (e.g., glass) and then acetone, O2 and acetylene gas purified to ≤2ppm water content are introduced and reacted at -100W150°C to form a polyacetylene film on the surface of the solid.
