Abstract
1. Perfeccionamientos en válvulas rotatorias para regular el flujo de colada de metales fundidos a través de la abertura de colada de un recipiente de colada, caracterizados porque cada válvula comprende: (a) una carcasa unida al recipiente; (b) una placa superior refractaria alojada de una forma fija en la carcasa y que contiene un orificio alineado con la abertura de colada del recipiente; (c) un bastidor de sustentación de compuerta conectado articuladamente a la carcasa por uno de sus extremos y que tiene un dispositivo de retén que actúa en el otro extremo de la carcasa para sujetar el bastidor de sustentación de la compuerta en relación de funcionamiento con la misma; (d) un soporte de la compuerta alojado en el bastidor de sustentación de la compuerta y con rotación en el mismo en plano paralelo a la placa superior; (e) una placa de compuerta refractaria montada en el soporte de la compuerta para girar con el mismo, conteniendo la placa de compuerta por lo menos una abertura y una parte sólida de cierre, cualquiera de las cuales se puede colocar de una forma selectiva coincidiendo con el orificio de la placa superior; (f) una pluralidad de muelle situados en el soporte de la compuerta para empujar la placa de la compuerta a un contacto deslizante estando cara con cara con la placa superior; y (g) medios de transmisión dispuestos para funcionar con respecto a la carcasa con el fin de inducir movimiento de rotación al soporte de la compuerta con respecto al bastidor de sustentación con el fin de colocar de una forma selectiva la abertura o aberturas de la placa de compuerta o la parte solida de cierre coincidiendo con el orificio de la placa superior.
