Abstract
Un método de verter metal en fusión durante la colada, en el que se hace que el metal salga como una corriente fundida desde una tobera, y se expulsa un gas a presión desde un orificio o unos orificios adyacentes a un extremo de salida de la tobera, caracterizado porque el gas se expulsa en la dirección general en que sale de la tobera el meta, a una presión y a un caudal suficientes para desarrollar una cortina limitadora anular de gas fluyente que envuelve al menos parte de la longitud de la corriente metálica, y de preferencia sensiblemente la totalidad de la longitud de la corriente desde la tobera hasta un recipiente de recepción de masa fundida.
