Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar un compuesto de 5,8-dihidrofuro (3,2-b)-1,8-naftiridina de la fórmula (Ia) **(Fórmula-01)** donde R1 representa un grupo alquilo que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono y M representa un átomo de hidrógeno, un metal alcalino o un metal alcalinotérreo, que supone hacer mención un éter del ácido 1,4-dihidro-1-alquil-4-oxo-6-hidroxi-7- formil-1,8-naftiridin-3-carboxílico de la fórmula (IX) **(Fórmula-02)** donde R1 es tal como se ha definido antes y R3 es un grupo alquilo que tiene de 1 a 6 átomos de carbono, en presencia en un éster del ácido bromomalónico, seguido de tratamiento con un ácido o un álcali para producir un ácido 5,8-dihidro-5- alquil-8-oxofuro(3,2-b)-1,8-naftirifin-2,7- dicarboxílico de fórmula (X) **(Fórmula-03)** donde R1 es tal como se ha definido antes, y descarboxilar el compuesto resultante de fórmula (X) y , opcionalmente convertir el compuesto ácido carboxílico libre resultante de la fórmula (Ia) en el carboxilato correspondiente de metal alcalino o alcalinotérreo.
