Abstract
Un procedimiento para electrodepositar rodio sobre una pieza que se trata de trabajar, que posee por lo menos una superficie conductora, que comprende: a) preparar un baño galvánico ácido acuoso de rodio que comprende de 0,1 a 30 g/l de iones de rodio; de 0,1 a 20 g/l de un ácido carboxílico policarboxílico-orgánico contentivo de por lo menos un grupo amino, y 10 a 100 g/l de radicales de ortofosfato, teniendo dicho baño un valor pH de 0 a 2,0 por disolución en agua de una composición para baño galvánico de rodio consistente esencialmente en sulfato de rodio, un ácido carboxílico policarboxílico-orgánico que tiene por lo menos un grupo amino y ácido fosfórico; b) mantener el baño a una temperatura de 20 a 85ºC; c) sumergir en el baño la pieza que se trate de trabajar y que posea por lo menos una superficie conductora; y d) aplicar un voltaje regulado para proporcionar una densidad de corriente de 0,5 a 30 amperios por 929,03 cm2 en la superficie de la pieza, a través de dicha pieza y de unánodo insoluble, para provocar la correspondiente reacción electrolítica sobre la superficie metálica.
