Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de una composición elastomérica de silicona con una viscosidad tal que puedan ser extruidos por lo menos 45 g/min. a través de un orificio de 3,175 mm. bajo una presión de 620 Kilopascales, cuyo procedimiento comprende combinar en un aparato mezclador: (A) 100 partes en peso de un fluido de polidimetilsiloxano bloqueado terminalmente con grupos triorganosiloxi, donde las unidades triorganosiloxi son dimetilvinilsiloxi y/o metilfenilvinilsiloxi, siendo dicho fluído una mezcla de especies poliméricas de peso molecular variable donde cada especie está presente en cantidad suficiente para producir colectivamente una distribución de pesos moleculares tales que hay presente por lo menos una especie polimérica (1) a una concentración superior a las concentraciones de las especies poliméricas adyacentes de peso molecular más alto y más bajo, donde la especie polimérica (1) se identifica como peso molecular máximo determinado por análisis cromatográfico de permeación de gel y habiendo un peso molecular máximo de especies poliméricas comprendido entre 68.000 y 135.000 en una concentración mayoritaria en dicho fluído, estando comprendido el peso molecular de la especie polimérica de peso molecular más bajo entre 854 y 3146 y estando comprendido el peso molecular de la especie polimérica de peso molecular más alto entre 174.000 y 370.000, presentando la mezcla de especies poliméricas una distribución de pesos moleculares tal que el índice de dispersidad tiene un valor superior a 3,8; (B) de 20 a 60 partes en peso de una sílice amorfa reforzante con una superficie específica superior a 100 m2/g, donde la superficie de la sílice contiene átomos de silicio a los que están enlazados los grupos organosiloxano de fórmula: **(Fórmula)** donde x es un número entero de 0 a 20 e y es un número entero de 1 a 5, encontrándose presentes los grupos organosiloxano en una cantidad tal que hay de 0,05 a 0,32 % en peso de grupos vinilo, calculado sobre el peso de la sílice y encontrándose presentes los grupos organosiloxano en una relación molar tal que hay de 7 a 50 moles de (A) por cada mol de(B), (C), (D) o mezclas de los mismos; (C) una cantidad de un órgano-hidrógeno-siloxano fluído suficiente para proporcionar de 1 a 3 átomos de hidrógeno enlazado al silicio por cada radical vinilo en (A) y (B) combinados, conteniendo dicho órgano-hidrógeno-siloxano un promedio de por lo menos 3 átomos de hidrógeno enlazado al silicio por molécula y estando constituído esencialmente por unidades metil-hidrógeno-siloxano, dimetilsiloxano, dimetilhidrógeno- siloxi, trimetilsiloxi y/o Si02 y (D) una cantidad de un catalizador de platino suficiente para proporcionar por lo menos una parte en peso de platino por millón de partes en peso (A), siendo dicho catalizador de platino soluble en (A).
