Abstract

Procedimiento para la construcción de cristales mixtos (u/pu)02, solubles en ácido nítrico 10 M, como etapa previa para la fabricación de cuerpos de combustible nuclear sinterizados, con sustancias de partida con contenido en uranio y plutonio, caracterizado porque se mezclan y oxidan una solución de nitrato de uranio y una solución de nitrato de plutonio, hasta que también el plutonio alcanza la etapa de valencia VI; se añade esta mezcla a continuación a una solución al 20% aproximadamente de (NH4)2 CO3, mientras que al mismo tiempo se agrega dosificado NH3 para ajustar el valor pH a 8, 1-8, 5, así como CO2 en exceso; se mantiene la temperatura a 45-60ºC mientras se precipita el producto (NH4)n+ (u/pu)02 (CO3)3; y el producto obtenido se calcina en atmósfera reductora a 300 hasta 700º C y acontinuación se granula a (U/Pu)02 pulviforme con el deseado contenido de oxígeno estequiométrico.
